Paju Jangpari is currently undergoing slumification due to the withdrawal of U.S. military forces after the Korean War. It is also a place with historical significance, featuring the debut of singer Cho Yong-pil through the "Club Last Chance," a venue where he performed for U.S. soldiers, the "Jangpari Orphanage" caring for the children of base village women, and the "Under Reconstruction Middle School" built with sponsorship from U.S. officers. Even now, under limited national support, the area remains marked by faded murals and disappearing human presence, lingering in the shadows of development and progress. It's a place abandoned, with its modest pulse sustained as it struggles to become recognized for its value in the contemporary context of the lingering Cold War. Three twenty-something university students, participating in a virtual tourism package tour provided by an artist, set out for the area armed with a map and travel missions. 

Captured in a vlog-style self-video, their unfamiliar experience of moving to the outskirts of the capital unfolds as they encounter the village, its people, and the unfamiliar security-laden landscapes. Hitchhiking, taking buses, and walking as civilians, they immerse themselves in the empty spaces, experiencing the landscapes and people they encounter along the way, extending from Jangpali to the nearby Yeoncheon region.
