Symbolic birds were mostly designated between 1972 and 1978, representing the local residents by embodying the regional characteristics from a geographical perspective. However, many of these symbols often inherit or replicate the symbols of higher institutions, portraying the citizens ambiguously by borrowing similar words and phrases. Artists contemplate how each institution and local government conceptualize the targets of 'art for citizens (locals).' The works reconstruct the symbols representing regions in South Korea, such as provinces and cities, using only adjectives, adverbs, and verbs in the descriptions, excluding nouns, forming a single page of a dictionary.
