"Workshop (Small Talk)" (2022) is a brief and trivial record of performers engaging in small talk about the 'place.' Three performers, each having spent their formative years in different regions, linguistically articulate their perspectives and sensations regarding a specific place proposed by the artist. The works in the "Workshop" series transpose this narrative into an artistic form. The performers interpret and express the concepts related to the place proposed by the artist through their subjective senses.

1. Choi Jeongwon: Engaging in bodily actions such as colliding, scratching, touching, and hitting to sense the place. Describing oneself as inside a balloon filled with compressed air, the performer continues movements until the body stretches. In the final frame where the performer departs, only the silent space remains.

2. Shin Seo: Sensing the place by reading a self-written text aloud. Filling the sentence with an object, a chair. The empty chair is placed in the center, and the performer, maintaining a passive posture, continues reading from the periphery, creating a space where the object and text react.

3. Choo Hyunsil: Video footage shot with a camera reflecting oneself and a camera pointed at oneself intersect. A performer wandering the streets appears and disappears repeatedly, revealing a mixture of center and periphery. The performer soon becomes part of the landscape of the place.
