The "New Town Living Guide新都市生活白書" is a research-oriented publication documenting a series of interactions arising from the construction of the Gyeonggi Northern New Town through photographs. In contrast to conventional urban research methods that heavily rely on text to depict changes in history or urban ecology, this book distinguishes itself by aiming to collect the 'present' state of urban transformation through the flow of images. The new town emerges beneath the value creation through massive urban planning. Developments are skewed towards the construction of the new town, leading to the disappearance of local communities or cultural conveniences in Gyeonggi Northern areas. These represent desires for a 'new mega city' in Gyeonggi Northern, not yet contextually framed as an urban center. The book observes and records the inside and outside of the new town (original spatial landscapes outside the new town) through bodily experiences.
